The line graph illustrates the ownership of electric appliances and time spent doing hosehold jobs. Overall, the percentage of electrical machines rised since 1920.
The fridges in 1920 are almost none but as the years passed by the percentage of refrigerators increases consistently reaching up to 90% in 1960, following that 1980 every household has refrigerator and it remained 100% until 2019 without any fluctuations. However, the number of vacuum cleaners also rises up since 1920. Athough in 1930, the percentage of vacuum cleaner was 30%. The percentage of vacuum cleaner rises up 20% every 20 years reaching up to in 1980. After that it increased 10% in next 20 years and reached 100% and remained consistent until 2019.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the broad patterns: refrigerator and vacuum-cleaner ownership rose, while housework hours fell, and you include several relevant figures. However, coverage is incomplete because the final housework trend is cut off, with no account of the 2000 and 2019 values or a complete endpoint. Some details are inaccurate: vacuum-cleaner ownership is given as 30% in 1930, although the chart shows 30% in 1920; the increase is not 20% every 20 years, and the washing-machine decline from 70% to 65% is five percentage points, not nine. The overview is also too general to highlight the key contrast that refrigerators and vacuum cleaners reached full ownership while washing machines did not. Select accurate milestones and summarise both graphs fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable sequence, moving from an opening overview to appliance trends and then housework hours. Paragraphing also helps separate the main topics. However, progression is weakened by abrupt transitions and incomplete development: the final sentence ends at “reaching to 10 hours i n,” leaving the second graph unfinished. Linking phrases such as “However,” “Although,” and “After that” are used, but some do not clearly express the relationship between the information that follows. The repeated focus on individual appliances also makes the account feel list-like rather than organised around the main comparisons. Group the appliance trends together, then give a complete paragraph on housework, using clear time markers and a concise overview to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “remained,” “fluctuations,” and “falling trend,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “rises up,” “reaching up to,” and “increased up.” Some word choices make the meaning less exact: “working hours” can suggest paid employment rather than housework, and “electrical machines” is less natural here than “electrical appliances.” There are also spelling errors, including “hosehold,” “Athough,” and “declinig,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for precise trend language and vary verbs appropriately—for example, “rose,” “levelled off,” and “declined”—while checking spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “However” and a time clause beginning “as the years passed by.” Nevertheless, errors are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. Examples include “The fridges in 1920 are almost none,” where the verb construction is faulty, and “the percentage of refrigerators increases,” which shifts tense within a past-period report. Other problems include “reaching up to in 1980,” missing or inconsistent sentence capitals, and the unfinished final sentence. Subject–verb agreement and tense control also need attention. Use past simple consistently for the historical data, check that each sentence has a complete clause, and proofread punctuation and sentence endings. These changes would make your comparisons clearer without requiring more complicated structures.
