Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the overall rise in refrigerator and vacuum-cleaner ownership and the fall in housework time, and you include several relevant figures. However, some details are inaccurate or too general: refrigerator ownership was about 2% in 1920, not nil, and washing-machine ownership is described as fluctuating without reporting its values or explaining the small dip from 70% to 65% in 1980. The housework figure was about 11 hours in 2019, so “just 10” is a reasonable approximation, but the claim that it showed the same trend throughout overlooks the period when it remained at about 15 hours. The response covers the main parts of the task, though the washing-machine trend is less fully reported. Add a clearer comparison of all three appliances.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on appliance ownership, and a final sentence on housework time. This makes the main topics easy to follow. Some linking is effective, including “After that” and “However,” but the appliance paragraph contains several long, densely joined clauses, which makes comparisons harder to process. The final paragraph is also very brief relative to the others, so the two chart topics are not balanced. Improve progression by giving each chart a clearly developed paragraph and using shorter sentences to separate the refrigerator and vacuum-cleaner trends. Check spacing after punctuation as well, since forms such as “Overall, households” interrupt the presentation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of trend vocabulary, including “surged,” “inclined,” “hovered,” “plateaued,” and “reducing considerably,” which helps communicate change over time. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural choices reduce accuracy: “vaccum,” “vaccume,” “comapred,” “nill,” and “waching” should be corrected, while “holdings of electronic devices” is less precise than “ownership of household appliances.” “The number of hours spent at working” is also an awkward expression for this context. Some trend words are used repetitively or inaccurately, such as “showed the same trend throughout” despite the period of stability. Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, and use precise terms such as “rose,” “fell,” and “remained stable” where they match the data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, for example, “After that it gradually inclined to 100% … whereas ownership of vacuum cleaner commenced…” This shows some ability to connect related information, and the overall meaning remains understandable. However, some grammatical errors affect accuracy: “households having refrigerator” needs an article and a more suitable structure, while “the number of hours spent at working were 50” has problems with the preposition and subject–verb agreement. The long sentence beginning “After that” also joins several trends without clear punctuation, and “Overall, households” lacks a space after the comma. Use complete, controlled clauses, check articles and agreement, and punctuate comparisons so that each trend is expressed clearly.
