Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the two broad subjects and report several relevant trends, including the refrigerator’s sharp early rise and the overall fall in housework time. However, the response only partially summarises the data and contains important inaccuracies: refrigerator ownership rises from about 90% in 1960 to 100% in 1980, rather than declining, and it remains at 100% thereafter. The washing-machine figure also does not remain unchanged from 2000 to 2019; it rises from about 70% to 75%. The overview is missing, and the final sentence breaks off before completing the account of housework. To improve, give a clear overall summary and select accurate key comparisons across the full period.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it introduces the charts and uses separate paragraphs beginning “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “However” to group information. These markers show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the first two paragraphs divide the appliance data by time period, while the housework discussion appears only at the end and is unfinished. Some linking phrases, such as “Moreover” and “Further more,” are repeated or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. The abrupt ending (“the decrease in no of hours was stabilized form”) also leaves the final point incomplete. Organise the response into an introduction, an overview, and focused detail paragraphs, and use links that accurately express contrast or continuation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “decline,” “increased,” “remained,” and “per week,” so the reader can recognise the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. For example, “occupation” is not suitable for appliance ownership, “sales faced a decline” describes sales rather than the percentage of households, and “20% decline” is imprecise when referring to hours. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “vacum,” “gradullay,” and “refigerator.” Use precise terms such as “ownership,” “the proportion of households,” and “hours fell,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “from” and “as compared to.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction and punctuation sometimes make the message difficult to follow. For instance, “Moreover, it shows amount of time” is missing an article, while “However the accordign to second table … shows and substantial amount of decline” has a faulty sentence structure and missing or incorrect grammatical forms. Several sentences run together without spaces after full stops, as in “occupation. However” and “55%.Washing.” The final clause is incomplete. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, use articles and prepositions accurately, and proofread punctuation before submitting.
