Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both charts and identify the main contrast: appliance ownership generally rose while weekly housework time fell. The overview also notes the washing-machine fluctuation, and the refrigerator and vacuum-cleaner descriptions include useful milestones. Most figures are consistent with the chart, including the refrigerator reaching 100% in 1980 and the vacuum cleaner reaching full ownership by 2000. To make the account more complete, report the housework figure at the end more precisely (11 hours in 2019) and mention that it levelled off at about 15 hours between 1980 and 2000. The washing-machine trend is also slightly unclear: it rose to 70% by 1960, dipped to 65% in 1980, then increased to 75%. These details would strengthen an otherwise relevant summary and extend its comparisons further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the two charts. This makes the information easy to follow, and sequencing expressions such as “After that,” “Similarly,” and “In the second graph” help guide the reader. However, some linking is mechanical or imprecise. “Reversely” is used twice where a clearer contrast marker would help, and the overview’s contrast between appliance ownership and housework could be expressed more directly. Within the final paragraph, the movement from 1920 to 1960 and then to 2019 skips the stable period around 1980–2000. Grouping the figures into clearer stages and using references such as “this figure” consistently would improve progression and cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “peaked,” “remained constant,” “steadily,” and “decline,” and the reader can generally understand the trends you describe. However, several spelling and word-choice problems reduce precision: “vaccum clearner,” “Reverasely,” and “consistancy” are misspelled, while “interest on doing housework” does not naturally describe time spent on a task. There are also awkward combinations such as “Ownership changes for Refrigerator” and “spent number of hours.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and consistent terms such as “the proportion of households owning…” and “weekly housework hours.” A more controlled range of trend verbs and nouns would make the report sound more precise and appropriately formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, and the overall meaning is usually clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “The given charts illustrates” should use a plural verb, while “changes of washing machine was fluctuate” has problems with both agreement and verb construction. In “the highest number of time … was 50 hours … which was steadily decline,” the clause needs a correctly formed verb, such as “which steadily declined.” Articles and sentence structure also need attention in phrases such as “peaked 100%” and “after slightly fell in 1980.” Review subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms, and check that each clause has a complete, correctly formed verb. These corrections would make your varied sentences more reliable.
