Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both charts and identify the broad contrast: appliance ownership generally rose while housework time fell. Several key figures are reported reasonably, including washing machines at about 40% initially and 70% in 1960, and refrigerators reaching 90% in 1960 and 100% by 1980. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the refrigerator begins at about 2%, not simply “at least point 0%”; vacuum-cleaner ownership reaches about 90% in 1980, not 2000; and housework falls to about 15 hours in 1980, rather than 11, before ending at about 11 in 2019. The overview also says appliances “stood the highest” without clearly summarising the housework trend. A more precise overview and clearer reporting of the stages would strengthen coverage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a brief overview, a paragraph on appliance ownership and a final paragraph on housework. Sequencing words such as “To begin with,” “Second” and “Furthermore” help signal movement between details. However, progression within sentences is sometimes difficult to follow, as in “In 1960 that figure increse slightly around 70%. end the point figure reach 72% in 2019.” The final paragraph also moves from the 1920 peak to 1980 and then 2019 without clearly distinguishing the later stages. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “that figure” can be unclear when several appliances are being discussed. Grouping the appliance trends more deliberately and using clearer comparisons would improve flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “percentage,” “reached,” “remained stable” and “per week,” so the reader can recognise the main subject and trends. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “stood the highest” is not a natural way to describe ownership levels, while “hit a low then other electrtonic item” does not clearly express the washing-machine trend. Forms such as “hourse,” “roufly,” “remaind” and “raiso” also reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, conventional trend language and check spelling carefully; terms such as “increased,” “declined,” “levelled off” and “household ownership” would help you describe the data more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the basic meaning is often recoverable. However, sentence structure and grammatical control are inconsistent. The opening sentence lacks a clear article and has an awkward construction: “The two line garph provide information about … in household.” There are also errors in agreement and verb forms, as in “the figure increse” and “the figure remaind,” and some sentences are incomplete or joined incorrectly, such as “In 1960 that figure increse slightly around 70%. end the point figure reach 72% in 2019.” The housework description also confuses units by saying “reached nearly 50%” for hours. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use past-tense forms consistently when describing the historical data.
