Student answer (Band 6.0)
While some people argue that it is not necessary to go theatre or cinema to watch movies, as there is electronic technology in your hands, others believe that real enjoyment can only be achieved by watching movies in the cinema only. In this I will discuss both the views and my opinion latter. On the one side, people who hold the view that phones and tablets are enough to watch movies say that, It will save your money and time. For Instance, when you go to cinema, you have spend money on petrol for vehicle, buy ticket for movie, parking fee, food for some refreshment, etc. Therefore you will be able save this money, and this money you can use for others necessities for home. In addition, you have option to watch movie according to your mood, whereas in cinema you have to watch that movie, whether you like or not. So it is total waste of money and time. On the other side, people having view that watching movie in cinema provide you proper entertainment. which you can not enjoy on limitted screen of you phone or tablet.Furthermore ,watcing movie with public provide you that amusement, which can not feel at home alone. In conclusion, both the views held in society, but I think that the notion of watching movies on phone or tablet has more significant value than watching movie in cineme, because it save our time and money. Since it the matter of choice so it depends on people which option they choose to relax them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for watching films on phones or tablets, giving relevant reasons such as saving money and choosing a film to suit your mood. The examples of petrol, tickets and parking make the first view concrete. However, the cinema perspective is much less developed: you mention a larger screen and the enjoyment of watching with other people, but do not explain these benefits in detail or give a specific example. Your opinion is clear in the conclusion, though “it depends on people” slightly weakens the force of your position. Develop both sides more evenly and explain why your preferred option matters beyond cost and convenience.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one side,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion, and the reasons within the first body paragraph are generally ordered logically. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the clearer progression associated with a stronger performance. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, and the cinema paragraph is very brief, so the discussion does not progress as fully as the first side. Some connections are also unclear, as in “which can not feel at home alone.” Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and balance the development across paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “petrol,” “parking fee,” “refreshment,” “screen,” and “amusement.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the notion” and “significant value.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “go theatre,” “proper entertainment,” “with public,” and “relax them.” Spelling errors such as “limitted,” “watcing,” and “cineme” are noticeable and reduce precision. Aim for more natural expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the cinema experience as “immersive” or say that viewers “enjoy watching films together.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “whereas” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “you have spend money,” “you will be able save,” and “it save our time,” where verb forms or auxiliaries are missing or incorrect. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “watching movie in cinema provide you proper entertainment. which…” Work on accurate verb patterns, agreement, and complete sentence construction. Proofreading for punctuation and sentence boundaries will make your ideas clearer.
