Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the mention of 'swamp' in the second paragraph is unclear and does not support the argument effectively. The opinion provided in the conclusion is a bit repetitive, and the explanation of the 'balanced approach' in the fourth paragraph lacks depth. To improve, ensure that each point is fully explained with clear, relevant examples rather than just stating the advantages. The position is consistent, but the supporting arguments need more elaboration to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the sentence 'I will discuss own my opinion in the last.' Additionally, some transitions between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother to enhance the overall progression of ideas. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion could be strengthened by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is always precise.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary like 'immersive atmosphere' and 'streaming service'. However, there are some word choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'mobile view for causal entertainment' and 'films and movies, it's heavily sound and visual effects'. The word 'swamp' appears to be a significant error or misuse of terminology. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring that vocabulary is used in the correct context to avoid confusion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'other believe' instead of 'others believe', 'best enjoy' instead of 'best enjoyed', and 'without directions' instead of 'without distractions'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. These errors do not significantly impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb forms (passive voice), and proofreading for basic grammatical slips.
