Student answer (Band 7.0)
Nowadays, technology has taken mammoth dimensions. Therefore, some people believe that they do not need to visit theaters because they can watch movies in their technological gadgets. While others argue that we should watch the films in the cinemas to enjoyed it fully and experienced it. In my opinion, we should watch the fims in the cinemas to get an exceptional experience. This essay will discuss both the viewpoints followed by my opinion.
On the one hand, some people say that it is not needed to visit cinemas to see movies because it is available on our smart phones or tablets. The dominant reasons are that cost effective and more convenient. To elaborate, we can have an access of most of the movie's content on online platforms. Those platforms charge minimal amount compare to the theaters. Additionaly, we don not need to pay money for individuals on these online platforms. Therefore, we can watch movie in a group or individual in the same amount. Moreover, we can watch films according to our preferable time and place. Whereas we need to follow movie schedules in cinemas.
On the other hand, some people believe that we should see the pictures in the cinema to enjoyed it fully. The contributing factors behind this viewpoint is that theaters have a great sound system such as dolby atmos and high resolution screen such as 70mm screens. That gives a bestest experience to the watcher. Many advance theater screens provide 3D and 4D experience to their watcher that would not possible in technological gadgets at home. From my experience, first time I watched 'Evenger's Endgame' movie in the theater. I loved the content and concept of that movie. Therefore, I decided to watch it in my smart phone again but it didn't provide me the same experience and feeling as theater. Thus, above reasons substantiate that why some people prefer to watch films at the theaters to fully enjoyed it.
In my opinion, although our own gadgets provide conveniency and that are cost effective, yet we should watch movies in theaters to get better experience and enjoy advance sound system, screens, 3D and 4D effects.
To conclude, mobile phones, laptops and computers give a cost effective and convenient movie experience. Therefore, some people say that we do not need to go to cinemas to watch movie. However, to experience and enjoy high resolution screen, advanced sound systems, 3D and 4D experieneces are the plausible reasons behind the belief of people to visit theaters to enjoyed movie at fullest.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by discussing both viewpoints and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported with examples, such as the mention of 'Avengers: Endgame' to illustrate the difference in viewing experience. However, some arguments could be more deeply developed; for instance, the discussion on cost-effectiveness is a bit repetitive. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the structure follows a logical flow that meets the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'To conclude' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is a bit repetitive (e.g., repeating 'some people say' or 'some people believe'). Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'technological gadgets,' 'cost-effective,' and 'high resolution.' There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'bestest' (which is non-standard) and 'conveniency' (the correct form is 'convenience'). Additionally, there are persistent errors in verb forms, such as 'to enjoyed' instead of 'to enjoy.' While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tense and infinitive forms (e.g., 'to enjoyed it fully' instead of 'to enjoy it fully' and 'that would not possible' instead of 'that would not be possible'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage also show occasional lapses. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the essay. To improve, focus on ensuring that infinitives and auxiliary verbs are used correctly in complex structures.
