Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that movies can be seen on smartphones and tablets, whereas it should be watched in theatres to take the full advantage of fun. I believe that Although watching movies on cellphones would be the cheapest option, the wide screen can rejuvenate an individual and gives more amenties such as comfort, food and a better sound quality.
One reason of watching recent release is affordability. Citizens can take this advantage while living in remote areas. Nowadays, many websites not only leak the latest film on the same day but also upload online without getting any subscription cost. When movies are available on internet, anyone can watch at any place or anytime, especially, in areas where the city theatres are not close to countryside. This would save their time and money, which could be used for their personal work. For instance, The movie launced Satluj based on recent collision between government and citizens, which makes the highest earning even without approved by the censor board. Since citizen are able to watch without paying any cost because of cell phones.
On the other hand, the theatre is a place which known for their high resolution and a quality sound. if these cinemas were not establisehd in every nation, many people most likely give less respect to artists. These areas provide food, comfortable seats, wider screens, and a sense of autonomy. People usually visit with their loved ones, making plan for outing, and taking an appearance of reality. According to me, these amenties should not be replaced by the phones.
To conclude, Although smartphone has numerous benefits for their users, the wider screen and sound quality will not be a substitute for handsets.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the convenience of smartphones is clear, but the example provided about the movie 'Satluj' is confusing and lacks sufficient explanation to support the point effectively. Additionally, the discussion on cinema benefits is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that examples are more clearly linked to the main argument and that each point is fully extended with logical reasoning rather than just listing features.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'To conclude', which helps the flow. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'One reason of watching recent release'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help achieve a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'rejuvenate' and 'autonomy', though these are not always used in the most natural context. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'taking an appearance of reality' and 'amenties' (spelled incorrectly as 'amenties' twice). To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding the range of topic-specific vocabulary related to media and entertainment.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('citizen are able', 'theatre is a place which known'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward phrasing ('gives more amenties'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
