Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this era of modernization a significant number of individuals contend that watching films on phones and tablets is a better option instead of leading towards cinema. It is crucial to consider an entertainment industry is huge and it change drastically according to audience convenience. In my perspective, I ardently support that industry should reach to audience it can be by phone or cineplex, although various factor matter like, income, geographic location, availability and i will elucidate my position in ensuing paragraphs and a well formed conclusion.

To substantiate my alignment to the aforementioned notion, I firmly hold the belief that I industry need money to survive to cast actors, crew, and licenses for using location. Eventually that money comes from watchers. To exemplify, these days all big production houses initiate to sell the rights of own work to online platforms like, Netflix, amazon, disnep, alongside releasing an into theaters too. For instance, there are channels everywhere on youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. To being updated all these influencers try to be the first one to watch new upcoming projects to release an information on their own channel to get more subscribers and followers. Thats is the biggest reason all producers release the movies first in cinema and after few days on online platforms.

Expanding upon some of the other, corroborating factor for my agreement with statement, it is irrefutable that all online platform are paid, these paid subscription give cuts to movie makers. Netflix charge sum of amount to all subscribers monthly and bought a movies or shows from producers to keep it on platform. As a result a person can watch that show anytime with just a monthly payment.

In conclusion, not everybody have time, money, and scope to watch movie on theater but majority of the individuals have small screen and paid subscriptions that ease the mode of entertainment. It becomes apparent that everybody wants entertainment some like to go watch it in theater and some like to watch it according to their convenience and it is the most logical stance to adopt in the context of our ever changing world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a personal opinion, though the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. You discuss the financial necessity of cinema releases and the convenience of online platforms, which is relevant. However, the argument regarding 'influencers' on social media is slightly tangential and does not directly support the core debate about the cinema experience versus home viewing. While your position is clear, the explanation of why films need to be seen in a cinema is underdeveloped; you focus more on the business model of distribution than on the immersive quality or the 'full enjoyment' mentioned in the prompt. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly addresses the prompt's specific focus.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, phrases like 'To substantiate my alignment to the aforementioned notion' feel overly formal and slightly unnatural. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between influencers and the release schedule is not fully articulated. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the progression of ideas could be smoother to ensure the reader follows your argument without needing to re-read sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'modernization', 'elucidate', and 'corroborating'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'leading towards cinema' instead of 'going to the cinema', and 'bought a movies' instead of 'buy movies'. Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'disnep' and 'cineplex' (used slightly out of context). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score. Focus on learning common collocations to improve naturalness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('not everybody have time'), article usage ('on theater'), and awkward sentence construction ('To being updated all these influencers...'). While you attempt complex structures, they are often marred by errors in tense or preposition usage. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with greater precision.
