Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays there is an ongoing debate weather going theater is waste of time wherever we can enjoy movies at home while others believe that theater is the best place for enjoying cinemas. This essay will discuss both views before presenting my own opinion . I believe that theater is more convenient place for enjoying movies and relaxing.
On the one hand, many people believe that going cinema is a waste of time and money rather than they prefer to stay home and enjoy movies in online platforms. This perspective also has a logic. After a Hettrick weekdays people prefer to spend time at their own place for relaxing. The another reason is traffic jam. Many people do not prefer to face traffic jam for this occasion. So they do not actually very much interested to go to cinemas.
On the other hand ,others argue that, after a monotonus busy daily life its a chance to spend some time with family and friends. They believe this because , nowadays there are limited space to spend quality time with our loved ones. moreover, it is hard to maintain work life balance. for instance a movie theater could be the place to spending some quality times. Consequently, how much enjoyment a theater can provide , a small screen can never give that. A theater also has a huge contribution on a countries economy, and also creat job opportunities.
In conclusion, although both views have their own advantages , I believe that if someone want to enjoy a movie definitely should go cinema because it could be the way of a fest for the eyes. Therefore this approach should be encouraged.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the economic contribution of cinemas is mentioned but not fully explained or linked back to the core debate. The essay maintains a consistent position, but the supporting points, such as 'traffic jam' or 'monotonous busy daily life', are presented in a slightly repetitive and simplistic manner. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your arguments with more specific examples or deeper analysis of why the cinema experience is superior to home viewing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Consequently', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or forced. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'This perspective also has a logic', where the link to the previous point could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'weather' instead of 'whether', 'Hettrick' (likely meant 'hectic'), and 'monotonus'. Some word choices are awkward, such as 'enjoying cinemas' or 'a fest for the eyes'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited to common words, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions that would demonstrate a higher level of proficiency.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include missing articles ('go to cinema'), incorrect verb forms ('if someone want to enjoy'), and punctuation errors, particularly with comma placement. Sentence construction is often clunky, such as 'So they do not actually very much interested to go to cinemas'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. Greater attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage is required.
