Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, Almost everyone has the access of the smartphone and tablet screen devices, Here the individuals have their preferences on watching movies or films on the huge screen, Such as movie theaters or huge cinema halls, While, Few people prefer to watch movies on their smartphones via OTT platforms. Both has its own reasoning and comfortability, That will be discussed below in the essay.
First of all, We have to believe that watching a movie in a theater hall with the huge screen and advanced music system is great experience. Also, Such movies should only be seen in movie theaters because we can not feel that experience on the mobile or tablet screen as that small screen and reduced sound quality, So these are the limitations of the mobiles. To exemplify, Recently, Christopher Nolan has released a movie called The Odyssey, Its the one of those masterpieces that can be watched in the full screen in IMAX. If anyone watches this movie on the mobile screen, Then they can not feel the actual vibe of the movie.
However, Some people watch movies on their mobiles, They use illegal website, Which uploads movies illegally and show few ads so they can earn some money from it, That leads to the loss for the filmmakers as they generally invest hundreds of thousand dollars for it. But, The people like myself, Working at the remote mining sites or the ones that have to access to the movie theaters has no other option, So we have to watch movies of the smartphones or tablets.
To conclude with, I personally believe that the movies should be seen in the theater halls while enjoying some drink with the popcorns, As it gets you an amazing experience and also benefits the director and actors also the theater owners. However, The individuals with the limited or no access to the cinema halls can watch the movies online, but, should only use legal OTT platforms.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the cinema experience is well-supported with a specific example, but the discussion on illegal streaming is slightly tangential to the core debate about the necessity of cinemas versus mobile devices. The conclusion effectively summarizes the position. To reach a higher band, ensure that all points are directly linked to the prompt's core question about the necessity of the cinema experience rather than focusing on the legality of streaming platforms.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Also' and 'However' at the start of sentences. Additionally, there are issues with punctuation, specifically the overuse of commas where full stops should be used, which disrupts the flow of the text. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the two main body paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'masterpieces' and 'limitations', but there are also instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'comfortability' (comfort) and 'access of the smartphone' (access to). Some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'huge cinema halls'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'the smartphone', 'the huge screen'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence boundaries. Many sentences are run-on or comma-spliced, which indicates a lack of control over complex punctuation. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text and demonstrate a limited control over grammatical accuracy, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
