Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views and provides an opinion, but it is under the required word count of 250 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention convenience and atmosphere, these points are not fully extended with detailed examples or logical depth. The conclusion is also incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a clear summary of your position. To improve, ensure you expand on your points with more specific evidence and ensure the essay meets the minimum length requirement to allow for a fully developed argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as 'To conclude it' and 'for example' starting with a lowercase letter. The progression of ideas is clear, but the lack of a finished conclusion disrupts the overall flow. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between ideas could be smoother. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You use basic terms like 'big screens' and 'good', which are repetitive. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'atmostphere', 'alouth', and 'cles', as well as word-choice issues like 'more entertained' instead of 'more entertaining'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, preventing a higher score. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and collocations related to the topic of entertainment and technology, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'technology make life easier' (subject-verb agreement), 'cinema give big gathering' (pluralization), and 'cinema are better option' (article usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and incorrect capitalization. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors is noticeable. To improve, focus on basic grammatical rules such as subject-verb agreement, plural forms, and consistent punctuation, and proofread your work to catch these slips.
