Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that presently we can see films on our phones or tablets that there is no need to go to the cinema, while others argue that to enjoyed maximal satisfactions, film need to be seen in a cinema. Watching films on phones, tablets or cinema is okay.
On the one hand, watching films on phones and tablets make it convenience for individual to enjoyed the comfort of their homes and watch their desire program, no need to get dress up, it can be watching under duvet.
Firstly ,watching films using gagets make accessible possible , it eliminate mobility issues , people do not need to look for a taxi or bus to take them out especially parents with babies. During pandemic, we all sit at home to watch different kind of films . I personally watched squaid game during that period.
Secondary, it makes control possible . Where people can watch 20 minute news in between, reply a whatapp messages and finish it later, it can also be forward ,play back as desire.
On the other hand, cinema has this huge screen that bring out pictures boldly ,sound mix that create an exactment.
In addition , cinema create an event image laughing ,crying, scared together with other people in a dark room. It is such an unforgetable memory .
In my own opinion , both serve different purpose with its unique excitement and people should not be left out from them both.
Inconclusion ,while watching films on phone cut cost of tickets, provide easy accessibility ,i believe a film need to be felt not just watch, cinema too create memories.
Both are equally important and people should balance them up.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the convenience of home viewing and the immersive experience of the cinema, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of 'squaid game' (Squid Game) is a relevant personal example, but the explanation of why cinema is 'unforgettable' remains superficial. To improve, ensure that each main point is fully extended with a clear explanation of the 'why' and 'how' behind your reasoning. The position is consistent throughout, but the overall task response would benefit from more sophisticated analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Firstly', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the logical progression is hindered by awkward phrasing, such as the transition into the second paragraph. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the use of cohesive devices is somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between ideas is more fluid and natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'accessibility', 'mobility issues', and 'immersive'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'enjoyed maximal satisfactions' instead of 'maximum satisfaction' and 'create an exactment' instead of 'excitement'. Some spelling errors, such as 'gagets' and 'whatapp', also occur. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and proofreading for spelling accuracy. Expanding your range to include more precise, academic vocabulary would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('film need to be seen'), incorrect verb forms ('make it convenience'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement and spacing. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement will significantly improve the clarity and quality of your writing.
