Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention the convenience of mobile devices and the atmosphere of cinemas, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting examples. The position is somewhat clear, but the lack of logical progression makes it difficult to follow your reasoning. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed point with clear evidence or logical explanation rather than listing general observations. The conclusion is present but does not effectively summarize the main points or clearly state your final opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. There is a lack of logical flow between sentences, and the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often inaccurate (e.g., 'To commence with.', 'The calcusion'). Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, which disrupts the reader's ability to follow your argument. Referencing is often unclear, and the transition between ideas is mechanical. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words correctly, such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast', and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'enternet', 'Nowsaday', 'parper', and 'calcusion'. You rely on a very narrow range of words, often repeating the same terms like 'movies', 'phones', and 'nowsaday' throughout the text. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary to include more precise terms related to technology and entertainment and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including missing subjects, incorrect verb tenses, and poor punctuation. Many sentences are incomplete or run together, such as 'mostly people wacthing movies on phones because all movies and web series available in the enternet.' There is very little evidence of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic grammar are persistent. To improve, focus on mastering simple sentence construction before attempting more complex forms, and pay close attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage.
