Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays many think that everyone should see pictures on phones at home on the other hand some believe that they enjoy more at cinema. I partially agree with second point of view as theatre gives totally different fun as compare to watching on smart phones. I would discuss both of these points in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, watching films on phones could is cheap as they can save money but it does have the harmful side effect as well. To elaborate it, as people can enjoy watching on phones and can save that money and can invest on some other things. However, it is harmful of them because it can be dangerous for their health, as they are looking at mobile screen for long time which is not best option. It is like they are inviting diseases. For instance, a survey of BBC news found that more than 55% of adult society in America facing health issues due to spending long time on there devices.
On the second side, majority of people enjoy watching movies in theatre, they think they enjoy more over there. To illustrate that, everyone has their own way of doing things and enjoying them. They prefer to go outside and have fun with friends or family. Moreover, it also tend to have good relations with their close ones. As an example, According to researcher in Toronto revealed that more than 68% of people love to watch movies in traditional way. They seems more happy and enjoy more.
In conclusion, I also agree with the second point as I like to watch movies in theatre as it is not that much effective to your health but sometimes I do prefer to watch movies at home to save some money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding health issues is repetitive and lacks depth, relying on vague claims about 'inviting diseases' rather than explaining the specific nature of the impact. The second body paragraph is also slightly underdeveloped, focusing more on the social aspect of cinema without fully exploring why the 'theatre experience' is superior in terms of technical quality or atmosphere. To improve, you should aim to provide more nuanced explanations for your points rather than repeating the same idea in different words.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On the second side', which is not a standard idiomatic phrase. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, in the second paragraph, 'it' is used repeatedly without a clear antecedent, which makes the flow feel slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to specific nouns would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'enjoy more', 'have fun', and 'good relations'. There are also some minor collocation errors, such as 'not that much effective to your health' instead of 'not as detrimental to your health'. To achieve a higher score, you should attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary and collocations related to the topic, such as 'cinematic experience', 'technological advancements', or 'social interaction', rather than relying on basic descriptive terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'watching films on phones could is cheap', 'it also tend to have', and 'They seems more happy'. These subject-verb agreement errors and tense inconsistencies are noticeable. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading your work to catch basic errors in verb forms and sentence construction to ensure greater accuracy.
