The importance of watching films on smartphone or tablets rather than going to cinema which was always debatable has now become more controversial with many people claiming that if you really want to enjoy a film you need to go to cinema. The influence of this trend sparked the controversy over the potential impact in recent years. I think both trend has its own importance and the reason behind this will be further discussed in the following paragraphs.

Analyzing the statement, the first and foremost supporting reason for watching films on phone and tablet is that, it is very easy to watch film. Anybody can watch any kind of film anywhere, if someone is travelling by public transport, they can easily watch movie on their phone. It is not been denied that it can also save time, money. As it saves the money of movie tickets. For example, People can see movie through any platform to watch movie by free of cost, it can be watch anywhere. Secondly, it is convinent to watch the movie on phone, as they can easily skip, pause, resume the whole film. Example, You tube allows the watcher to skip ad, they are giving option to increase playback speed and many more things to do on.

Excemplify, horror movies are meant to be watch at cinema, those sound effects make the movie more interesting to watch. Secondly, if someone want to take experience of watching 3D movies and animated than theatre is the place to watch as they are providing all the supplies like 3D glasses see movie and person can experience they are in the movie.

In conclusion, watching movie at phone provide ease to watch at anytime while the person is travelling and it also provides convinency to skip, pause and resume the film. Whilst, watching movie in cinema offers wholesome experience to enjoy the sound effects by enjoying whole movie. In my opinion, watching movie on any platform gives you a relief a feeling of being happy after watching it. If you are watching film on tablets or on television you can watch at home with family and became more funnier. While, watching in cinema gives everyone a great experience which they can not get it at home.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, satisfying the requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding cinema sound effects is relevant but could be expanded with more depth regarding the social or immersive aspects of the experience. The conclusion attempts to state an opinion, but it is slightly contradictory and lacks a clear, unified stance. To improve, ensure that your opinion is clearly stated in the introduction and consistently supported throughout the essay, rather than introducing new, slightly conflicting thoughts in the final paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand', which help the reader follow the argument. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'The influence of this trend sparked the controversy over the potential impact in recent years.' Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs flow more naturally would elevate the score. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express basic ideas. There is some repetition of words like 'watch', 'movie', and 'film'. While some topic-specific vocabulary is used (e.g., 'playback speed', 'sound effects', '3D glasses'), there are errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'became more funnier' and 'provides convinency'. The range is sufficient to communicate the message, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. Focusing on synonyms and more natural collocations would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'It is not been denied', 'People can see movie through any platform to watch movie by free of cost', and 'watching movie at phone'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb tenses and pluralization.
