Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary epoch, Entertainment has become an integral part of life for people of all ages. It has been said by numerous people that movies can be watched on smartphones or tablets. There is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that the cinema is the way to see movies in their fullest enjoyment. I am in favor of the first statement. I discuss both views in the subsequent paragraphs.
The primary reason for watching movies or web series on handheld devices such as mobile phones or tablets is flexibility. People may not abide to particular time frame to see the films or web series. For Instance, Individuals who do not have 3 continuous hours to enjoy films, then they can manage to enjoy the movie at their ease in the smartphone. People can pause or rewind the movie at their convenience. This is testament why people more preferable towards smart phones or tablets to watch movies.
On the contrary, some civilians assert that to be fully amusement, movies has been watched out in cinema. The core reckone is concentration. The theatre is designed in such a way that people can concentrate throughout the movie, especially suspense or thriller movie types. People cannot deviate from the surroundings because of the enhanced sound system. For Instance, people can feel during the movie that they are in a real battlefield because of the quality of visual and sound effects. This has proven that films might not be fully enjoyed without concentration.
To recapitulate, movies are the primary source of entertainment. The best way to enjoy them fully is in the theatre. However, the hectic lifestyle of people make them comfortable to be watched and enjoyed in smart phones.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the conclusion contradicts the introduction; in the introduction, you state you are in favor of watching movies on handheld devices, but in the conclusion, you state the best way to enjoy them is in the theatre. This inconsistency weakens the overall position. While the ideas are relevant, the development is somewhat limited. For example, the argument regarding 'flexibility' is well-supported, but the discussion on the cinema experience could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. Ensure your position remains consistent throughout the essay to better meet the requirements for a clear, developed position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For instance', 'On the contrary', and 'To recapitulate', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as 'This is testament why people more preferable'. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the logical flow is slightly disrupted by the contradictory stance taken in the final paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally would enhance the coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations. For example, 'contemporary epoch' is overly formal and slightly unnatural in this context. Phrases like 'core reckone' (likely a misspelling of 'reckoning' or misuse of the term) and 'fully amusement' are incorrect. While you attempt to use some less common vocabulary, the inaccuracies occasionally impede the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on using collocations correctly and ensuring that the words chosen fit the context of the sentence naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow of the text. Examples include 'People may not abide to particular time frame' (missing articles and preposition error), 'movies has been watched out' (subject-verb agreement and tense error), and 'make them comfortable to be watched' (awkward passive construction). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your score.
