Student answer (Band 5.0)
There has been conflicting views about whether to consider watching movies over our devices or on the big screen. While individuals prefer seeing films on phones or tablets due to more convenience and saving the money, I have the strong opinion in favor of the theaters as this brings better social connectivity and broader sense of experience.
One factor that makes people think about how much conveniently they can see movies at their pace without any hesitation or botheration is its comfortability. People, these days, are more prone to getting their meal and entertainment both at their tables without moving their hands. For example, Platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc are at the peak of getting spectators' attention as it is flexible to see and listen at our own homes without waiting for tickets.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, which severely limits your ability to develop your ideas. While you have introduced the topic and stated a clear position, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly in the second paragraph. Because the task is not fully addressed and the arguments are underdeveloped due to the lack of length, the score is restricted. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full discussion of both views and a well-supported conclusion, ensuring you meet the minimum word count to allow for a full exploration of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization with an introduction and a body paragraph. However, the abrupt ending makes it impossible to assess the overall progression of ideas or the effectiveness of your paragraphing. You used a transition word, 'Additionally', but the sentence that follows is incomplete. To achieve a higher band, you need to ensure that each paragraph is fully developed and that ideas are linked smoothly throughout the entire essay, including a clear conclusion that summarizes your main points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
You have a basic range of vocabulary that is generally appropriate for the topic, such as 'social connectivity' and 'spectators' attention'. However, there are some awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'botheration' and 'getting their meal and entertainment both at their tables'. These choices sound unnatural. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices fit the context of a formal essay. Expanding your range of synonyms and collocations will help you convey your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'There has been conflicting views' (should be 'have been') and 'how much conveniently' (should be 'how conveniently'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the incomplete nature of the text makes it difficult to judge your control over complex structures. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of adverbs. Proofreading your work for basic errors will also help improve your accuracy.
