Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent time, mostly people are like to watch movies on phone or tablets but some are like to watch movies in cinema.
To begin with people who like to watch movie in phone or tablets as compared to theater because in this modern time we can easily watch movie or show in good quality in phone because today technology is extremely developed as compared to the old time and there are a lots of social media application which shows recent movies on mobile. Moreover this is also good for people who are busy in their work most time because there is no need to go to cinema and then watch a movie and again spend time on commute for going back to home. Example during the break in the office whenever i want to see a movie i easily open my phone and watch movie on it. so it is so easy to watch movies in phone as compared to cinema.
On the other hand some individual are like to watch movies in theater because they believe that cinema hall has big screen which shows a big view of film in better quality print and also provide facility to watch movie in big group together that's why some people are like to watch movie in cinema hall rather than phone or tablets.
To conclusion, watch a movie in phone or any other electronic gadgets is very easy and flexibel as compared to cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, though the opinion is underdeveloped. The essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for a discussion of both views and an opinion, the conclusion is abrupt and lacks a clear summary of the writer's stance. The ideas presented, such as convenience versus the cinema experience, are relevant but lack depth and supporting evidence. To improve, you should expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a fully developed response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive way, such as the frequent use of 'because' and 'so'. There is a lack of variety in linking words, which makes the flow of ideas feel disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of mobile viewing and the drawbacks of commuting is abrupt. To improve, try using a wider range of cohesive devices like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to better connect your sentences and ideas, and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'good', 'watch', and 'easy'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'mostly people are like to watch' instead of 'most people like to watch' and 'good quality print' which is not the standard term for cinema projection. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and improve the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'some individual are like' instead of 'some individuals like', and incorrect verb forms like 'mostly people are like to watch'. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the lack of commas to separate clauses. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
