Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most of the individuals believe that watching films on the mobile phones is a good approach rather than going to cinema. Some pupils say that watching movie in cinema is a good idea as they can fully enjoyed it. In this essay I will discuss both viewpoints and then give mine also.
To begin with, being a movie enthusiast I love to watch the pictures. On mobile phones or tablets we can watch the movies at any time whenever we are free. We can watch it on any website like netflix, you tube . We just need to buy the subscription and then we can easily watch it . While travelling we watch it and spend our time. If we need to watch it in cinema firstly we need to get some time from the busy schedule and then book the the tickets. Then we need to travel and reach there nad then start watching it.If we are traveling so we will use a transport and the fuel will be used . By that the environment get affected.
On the other hand, watching films in cinema is a very good approach. As we can fully enjoyed it by watching it in theatre. There is a big screen in the film theatre and lights are off and we enjoy every every movement and there is no disturbance of traffic or any other family members as they can watch it peacefully.
In my opinion watching movies in cinema is a good approach as we can watch it peacefully and there is no disturbance and the screen there is also big .
To conclude films are very important part for entertainment as whenever we feel alone we can watch it on tablets or going in cinema .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention convenience for mobile viewing and the immersive experience of the cinema, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the point about environmental impact is a bit tangential and not fully integrated into the main argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a more detailed explanation or a concrete example to support your claims. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarise the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Phrases like 'To begin with' and 'On the other hand' are used correctly, but there is a lack of variety in linking words. Additionally, some sentences feel disjointed, and the transition between ideas could be smoother. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'it' without a clear antecedent in some instances. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider range of cohesive devices would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good approach' and 'good idea' multiple times, which limits the sophistication of your writing. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'watching the pictures' instead of 'watching films' or 'movies'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to cinema and digital media, and avoid repeating the same phrases throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the cinema', 'the mobile phones'), subject-verb agreement ('environment get affected'), and verb forms ('can fully enjoyed it'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some spacing issues and unnecessary repetitions of words like 'every every'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence structure will help improve your score.
