IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

In recent years, the measures of the entertainment has expended rapidly, becoming an integral part of modern globe. Some individuals state that phones and tablets are the major way to watch movies, and these equipments also eliminate the need of theatre, whereas others prefer to explore cinema for real enjoyment. Although technical gadgets provide convenience in terms of not only time but also location, the cinemas are fascinating in order to reflect the quality of visuals and sound system.

On the one hand, phones and tablets are efficient in delivering flexibility as people can watch their favourite filmes without having barrier of time and location. Besides this, they could enjoy it with play and pause features which allow them to proritize their busy schedule followed by short break for watching movie. In addition to that, this equipment need single subscription to watch wide range of movies and documentries within fixed time duration, while cinemas are require differ show tickets for each film which may be also expensive owing to cost attatched with maintaines of power equipment. Thus, phones are cost-effective way to fulfill the significant interest of watching film stories.

On the other hand, cinema enables the real life experience due to not only enronomos Screen but also powerful sound which facilitate better quality of visuals effects and audio design. Hense, viewers may engage themselves with ongoing story. Moreover, there is a fewer distractions in the theater environment which helps people to concentration on movie without having intreupution of calls and notification, and this may impossible which exploring movie is Convenient gadgets.

In my perspective, despite having Significant advantages of seeing films in phone, cinemas are crucial in providing not only Social experience to the visitors but also a considerable part for providing employment to the community as it needs some positions Such as engineer to set-up screen, ticket opotruer, cleaner and food and beverage seller. Consequently, it enables economy to grow by obtaining income for the entertainment sector.

In conclusion, phones and tablets are useful to provide flexibility. Nevertheless, cinemas are much popular in providing real attachment to the story and enabling economy to earn certain income.
