Student answer (Band 5.0)

Technology has played a crucial role in mordernazation. Everyone is depending on it for daily activities. As we see many individual, including teenagers are taking the advantage of technology. No more need to visit cinema hall or movie threaters as we can watch it on our personal devices. however, a number of people believe that the entertainment that we get by actual visiting movie hall cannot be taken by sitting alone and watching in home. In modern era, people are supposed to be very busy with their life engaging with their personal needs and career. And inorder to fulfill their needs they might have very less time to give up in themself. In contrast, for saving extra time youngerster may choose to watch movies in home through their mobile phones.

On one hand, we are able to use our extra time in some useful activity or work sitting in home. Watching movies with family and taking the entertainment without going out.

Whereas, on the other hand, the kind of enjoyment and excitement that cinema hall provide cannot be ever compared with watching on phone. The plus point is that the prices are suitable and affortable and the sound effects it create is unbelievable. we might go with our family members and friends. The experiences that hall and threatres offer cannot be compared with watching on phones. Moreover, we are allowed to eat foods like; popcorns, snacks, chips and cold drinks. However, movie halls put all efforts to attract their audiances, such places are seen falling in recent years due to develop in technology. To solve this problem, the social media platforms should have limits to post newly realeased movies so that, the audience won't get distracted and they can enjoy the movie more deeply.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the convenience of watching films on personal devices versus the superior experience of a cinema hall—and attempts to provide a position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the student mentions that people are busy and want to save time, but this point is not fully extended. While the main arguments are identifiable, some sentences lack clear focus, such as the concluding recommendation regarding social media platforms. The response meets the task requirements well in terms of coverage, but the depth of argument places it at Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows a basic logical organization, attempting to separate the two opposing views into different paragraphs. However, paragraphing and cohesion are frequently faulty and mechanical. For example, transition phrases like 'On one hand' and 'Whereas, on the other hand' are used incorrectly or left incomplete, leading to disjointed flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the progression of ideas stumbles between sentences. While the overall arrangement is coherent enough to follow the writer's line of thought, the mechanical errors in cohesive devices restrict the score to a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'modernization,' 'distracted,' and 'platforms.' However, there are notable spelling errors ('mordernazation,' 'threaters,' 'affortable,' 'realeased') and awkward word choices ('actual visiting,' 'give up in themself'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a higher band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('Everyone is depending,' 'many individual'), preposition use ('watching in home'), and sentence fragments or run-on structures ('As we see many individual, including teenagers are taking the advantage of technology'). Although the meaning is usually recoverable, these persistent errors demonstrate limited control over complex structures and place the grammar at a Band 5.0 level.
