Student answer (Band 6.0)
Movies are one of the major activities which engage more people respect to others.More individuals argue that it is better to see the movies using smarphones while others believe that it's better to go to cinema for a better experience. In this essay I will discuss about both negative and positive points and will give my own opinion.
Firstly, many GenZ s as well as yongesters always prefer to use their mobile to do day to day activitites. It is very practical when it comes to busy lives especially if you want to spend more time at home seeing a movie. In facts you don't have to worry about travelling expenses or about trafic. One more plus point about using smart devices is the location,no matter where you are in the station waiting for a bus or at home ,you still can enjoy it.
However,on the other hand some people think that to be fully entertained you need to be in a movie theatre. One of many examples which support for this point of view is the experience you will gain from it,the atmosphere surrounded by music will give a perfect vibe. Another example is the memory which you create with your loving people, it will never be the same as the one when you watch it from tablet. Even after days you will still remeber how you cried when your favourite actor died in the scene and how your family laughed at you.
To conclude, there are always benifits and drawbacks how you see the film using phones. In spite of the fact it can removes trafic and travelling issues, many people find it difficult to enjoy because of distractions, atmosphere and memories. Personally I believe it is important that films need to be seen from cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both watching films on mobile devices and going to the cinema, while also providing a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas tends to be slightly superficial. For instance, the second body paragraph lists some emotional examples regarding cinema-going, but the arguments could have been extended further with deeper analysis of the societal or economic impacts. Some phrasing in the conclusion slightly misinterprets the prompt's focus by referring to 'drawbacks how you see the film using phones', but the overall task requirements are met adequately. This performance aligns well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear four-paragraph structure comprising an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. There are numerous spacing and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'others.More', 'smartphones while', 'home ,you'), which disrupts the smooth flow of reading. Cohesive devices are attempted, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun 'it' in the concluding sentence ('films need to be seen from cinema'). These issues place the response firmly in the Band 6 category.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'practical', 'travelling expenses', 'distractions', and 'atmosphere'. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, but these are occasionally marred by word choice, collocation, or spelling errors, such as 'smarphones', 'yongesters', 'activitites', 'In facts', and 'trafic'. Furthermore, 'benifits' is misspelled. Although these lexical errors do not seriously impede communication, they restrict the score to a Band 5.5 or 6.0. Given that communication remains clear despite the flaws, a Band 6.0 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional ideas and relative clauses ('especially if you want to spend more time', 'how you cried when your favourite actor died'). However, there is a noticeable lack of control over punctuation and spacing, alongside grammatical slips such as 'engage more people respect to others' and 'films need to be seen from cinema' (preposition misuse). Run-on sentences and comma splices also occur, such as 'It is very practical when it comes to busy lives especially if you want to spend more time at home seeing a movie. In facts you don't have to worry...'. These frequent minor errors and punctuation issues typify the Band 5.5 descriptor, as they occasionally cause distraction for the reader.
