Owing to the advancement of technology, point of views of individuals has been changed alot regarding watching movies on theatre or on phones and lablets. Which is debatable issue whether some say cinemas are great platform of watching movies or others opine that they doesnot need to go to cinema halls because they can watch films on mobile phones or tablets too. This essay will discuss both view points but I personally believe that watching movies in cimemas is great fun.
The prime advantage of watching movies in the cinema that it provides enormous screen that helps to see clearly without any disturbance. In addition, cinemas allows to watch adventisement free pictures. Therefore, there is no unnecessary pauses in the middle of picture. Apart from it theatres deliver vibrant and energetic atmospher without any distructions.
However, mobile phones and tablets are also a excellent source of entertainment. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the convenience of watching films on mobile devices versus the superior experience of a traditional cinema—and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction. The ideas presented, such as screen size, advertisement-free viewing, and financial and time savings, are relevant to the prompt. However, some arguments are underdeveloped and rely on generalisations rather than detailed extension. For instance, the discussion on mobile flexibility lacks deeper elaboration. Despite these limitations in development, the overall task requirements are met adequately, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, separating the introduction, the cinema perspective, the mobile device perspective, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical, and referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the sentence fragments and poorly connected clauses in the introduction ('Which is debatable issue...') detract from the flow. Cohesive devices are sometimes used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'Apart from it theatres deliver vibrant and energetic atmospher without any distructions.' Paragraphing is present and logically divides the main themes, but the transitional links between sentences need greater control to reach a higher band level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'advancement of technology', 'abnegated', and 'vibrant and energetic atmosphere'. However, there are numerous noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling that impede smooth reading. Examples include 'point of views' instead of 'points of view', 'lablets' as a typo for tablets, 'adventisement' instead of 'advertisement', 'provise' for 'provide', and 'technalogical gedgets'. While the meaning is generally communicated, the frequency of lexical inaccuracies and non-systematic errors places this performance firmly in the Band 5 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors occurring throughout the text. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('cinemas allows', 'theatres has'), missing articles ('person does not need', 'on tablets'), and incomplete or non-standard sentence structures, particularly the fragment 'Which is debatable issue...'. Punctuation and capitalization errors are also noticeable, such as 'in conclusion' starting with a lower-case letter. Although communication is not entirely blocked, the density of errors keeps the performance at a Band 5 level.
