Student answer (Band 5.5)
As now a days people prefer to watch movies on phones rather than going to the cinema.According to my point of view firstly,I think that it is more convenient and economical to watch movies on mobile phones but on the other hand,if we think on an emotional ground we will find that,it more fun loving to watch movies in cinema.Although the cinema's are crowded and people make loud noises for some particular scene they found interesting. But these noises are even a sorting of enjoyment which lacks in the case of watching movie on phones.
Last week,I saw a movie on phone named,The Blue Whale. In the begining I found the movie was quite interesting but in between I suddenly loose my interest. After sometime I felt asleep because of boredom. In the next morning,I decided to watch it with my friends in the cinema with a big screen in front of my eyes. Then I asked to some of my friends to join me in the evening.According to the plan we reached the cinema 10 minutes before and we bought some snacks for us and take our tickets, went to the hall.I found that boring movie suddenly interesting as it is fun loving watching it along with friends and screaming aloud for the romantic scenes.I enjoyed a lot and we all spend a quality time with each other after so long.
This beautiful evening, changed my opinion completely. Now I also believe that to be fully enjoyed, flims need to be seen in cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both views regarding cinema and mobile viewing and provides a personal opinion, satisfying the prompt's core requirements. However, it falls slightly short of the 250-word minimum requirement, containing only 246 words. Ideas are present but remain somewhat limited and under-developed, particularly the arguments surrounding convenience and emotional engagement, which rely on personal anecdote rather than broader elaboration. The student's position is clear by the end of the essay, but the overall treatment of the task is partial rather than fully explored.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation in the essay, moving from an introduction of both views to a personal example and a concluding opinion. However, the progression lacks clarity at times due to weak paragraphing and abrupt transitions. Cohesive devices are used rather simplistically or mechanically, such as repetitive use of 'According to my point of view' and 'Then I asked'. Referencing between sentences occasionally becomes unclear, and the text lacks a smooth, logical flow from one idea to the next throughout the body of the response.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The student attempts some less common expressions such as 'economical', 'emotional ground', and 'quality time', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'fun loving' instead of 'fun' or 'enjoyable', and 'sorting of enjoyment' instead of 'sort of enjoyment'. Spelling and word formation are generally functional, but vocabulary limitations cause occasional awkwardness that requires the reader to decode the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic coordination. Attempts at complex structures tend to be faulty, featuring frequent punctuation errors, missing spaces after commas and periods, and awkward phrasing such as 'if we think on an emotional ground we will find that,it more fun'. Frequent errors in tense consistency, such as 'suddenly loose my interest' and 'felt asleep', alongside issues with articles and prepositions, occur throughout the text and frequently cause difficulty for the reader.
