Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is an ongoing debate over movies should be watch on phones or tables to save money or in a cinema to experience real movie vibe. I acknowledge the merits of alternative viewpoints, I believe that cinema should be better option for multiple reasons.

First and foremost, the most compelling arguement is that it gives real experience of movie, and we can enjoy it with our friends and family members. This is because cinema allows multiple seating options, daulby sound system and big screen can gives proper vibe to enjoy each and every shorts that we might not able to enjoy in our personal phone. Consquently, theatre give us comfort than mobile phones simply cannot offer. For example, we have to hold mobile for longer time to watch the film, just because of thi our hands get tired after 1 or 2 hours. Therefore, it is undoutedly true that there no better places than cinema to enjoy movies

Moreover, therre is one more fact that supports cinema instead mobile phone. The actors are really work hard and there are so many people working behind just on single fild. Watching it from mobile phones is kind of disresepect to their work. We have to support their job and watching from cinema would direclty support them to grow more. For example, there are so many illegal website in the markes, it allows individuals to watch without paying a single dollar. This things are playing with the career of so many hard working actors, so better option would be that to watch it from cinema.

To conclude, whilst watching movies from tablets has certian advantages, we can not overlooked the disadvtanges of it. It is there for I believe that cinema would be better option and governments should impratively introduce comprehensive and transparent rule for this non-registerd websites.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—watching films on mobile devices versus going to the cinema—and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, while the student mentions that cinemas offer 'multiple seating options, daulby sound system and big screen', this point is not fully extended or explored. Similarly, the argument regarding respect for actors' hard work is introduced in the third paragraph but lacks sufficient elaboration or concrete justification. The position is evident throughout, but the overall development is constrained by brevity and superficial reasoning, placing it in the mid-range for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, where each body paragraph focuses on a distinct supporting idea. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. The student relies on basic transition markers such as 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'This things are playing with the career', where the antecedent is vague. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to divide the introduction, body points, and conclusion, but the logical progression between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother and better connected to secure a higher level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and just adequate to communicate the basic message. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader or distract from the argument. Examples include spelling mistakes like 'arguement', 'daulby', 'Consquently', 'disresepect', and 'certian', as well as awkward lexical choices such as 'real movie vibe', 'single fild', and 'non-registerd websites'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, but inaccurate collocations and persistent spelling inaccuracies prevent the writing from achieving a higher lexical band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic complex forms. Attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to noticeable grammatical errors. There are frequent issues with verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'movies should be watch on phones or tables', 'theatre give us comfort', 'actors are really work hard', and 'there no better places'. Punctuation errors and missing prepositions also occur regularly throughout the response. While meaning is generally conveyed despite these issues, the frequency of errors places this aspect firmly in the mid-range.
