Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains convenience, lower costs and flexible viewing on phones, while the second describes cinema screens, sound and social outings. Your conclusion also indicates a preference for the benefits of spending time with loved ones, but your own position is not stated clearly enough across the essay. Some points are relevant but under-developed: for example, the claim that 3D and 4D films are “only possible in cinema hall” could be qualified and explained, and the benefits of streaming are listed more than explored. State your opinion directly in the introduction and reinforce it in the conclusion, then develop fewer key reasons with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow in broad terms. You also use signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” to show the direction of the argument. However, linking is sometimes mechanical or unclear: “Therefore” is repeated, and “It results in,to make people much more confident and experienced” does not clearly connect the preceding point to its result. Some sentences run together because punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. Use a wider range of natural links, make pronouns such as “it” refer clearly to a specific idea, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “flexibility,” “subscription,” “high definition sound quality” and “lively atmosphere.” These choices help communicate the contrast between home viewing and cinema. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “provide,” “watch” and “people,” and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, including “facilties,” “straming,” “afforadable” and “aquire.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “extra features in entertainment applications enhance the experience to watch movies.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, for example “enhance the viewing experience.” More precise vocabulary would make your comparisons clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which,” “when” and “while.” This gives the response some variety, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include “technology has change,” “every person has mobile phone which provide,” and “it is oldest way,” where verb forms, agreement and articles are inaccurate. Several sentences also have faulty construction, such as “It results in,to make people much more confident and experienced.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly where full stops are followed immediately by a new sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms, then proofread each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
