Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for cinema in the final body paragraph: you value its viewing experience and its employment benefits. The discussion of personal devices is relevant, with flexibility, comfort and subscription costs supported by a Netflix example. The cinema paragraph also gives relevant reasons, including the large screen and sound. However, some points are less fully explained: the claim that cinema supports employment is repeated in the example about people losing jobs, but the link between streaming and job losses is asserted rather than demonstrated. Your opinion appears clearly near the end, but stating it earlier and explaining why the cinema experience outweighs convenience would make the response more fully developed and balanced across the task’s parts.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a paragraph stating your opinion, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the main discussion, and signposts such as “To begin with” and “On the other side” indicate the shift between arguments. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Both the statement as positive and negative side” does not clearly establish the relationship between the views, and the repeated “as a result” makes the Netflix explanation feel loosely joined. The cinema paragraph also moves from sound and screen to employment and snacks without clearly showing how these points fit together. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “flexibility,” “membership,” “large screen,” “high definition audio,” and “employment,” so the reader can identify the main arguments. However, the range and control are limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices, such as “moives,” “filem,” “benefites,” and “audtion.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “many mode of ways,” “cost effective,” and “darkers setting.” These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning, particularly in the cinema paragraph. Build a reliable set of accurate collocations for discussing convenience, viewing quality and costs, and check spelling carefully. More precise phrasing would help you express your relevant ideas without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including explanations with “This is because” and examples introduced by “For example.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For instance, “person can watch anywhere and any time in there confort zone” has problems with articles, pronoun form and sentence construction; “cinema has some benefites” also shows an agreement error. Several sentences run together or lack clear punctuation, especially the long sentence about cinema employment and snacks. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating related ideas into complete sentences. Using a few well-controlled complex sentences, rather than joining many points together, would make your argument easier to read.
