Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for cinema in the introduction and again in the body, so the response stays relevant to the question. The points about convenience, flexible viewing and lower cost explain the case for phones, while the large screen, sound and social experience support your own view. However, the phone-side examples are not always fully explained, and some cinema points—such as the different screen formats and available facilities—are listed rather than linked clearly to greater enjoyment. Develop fewer points with specific explanation or an example, and make the comparison between the two experiences more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, your opinion and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “first,” “second” and “also,” and some connections between ideas are unclear. For example, the sentence about choosing “2d,3d,4d, and 5d” does not clearly explain how this supports the argument. The conclusion is also cut off, which weakens the ending. Use a wider range of linking expressions, connect each example directly to its point, and check that the final sentence is complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “affordable,” “sound quality,” “comfortable seats” and “big screen.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make the writing less clear, such as “tables” for tablets, “filem,” “daylogs” and “softdring.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “more enjoyebel” and “reduce their strees.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they reduce precision and sometimes require effort to interpret. Build a reliable set of cinema-related collocations and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. For example, “There is big advantage to watch movie in the theater is you can see movie in big screen” combines structures without forming a clear sentence; “people can watch anytime anywere movie” also has an unclear word order. Articles, plurals and verb forms are often missing or inaccurate, as in “watch movie” and “the cinema provide you.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent as well. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check articles, agreement and sentence boundaries.
