Student answer (Band 6.0)

Watching movies in a souce of entertainment and get reliuef from stress . some individuals believe that phones and tables are the best source to watch that and some suggest that for getting fun , cine,ma is the best place . As per my view both have advantages but i believe cinemas are best .

On the one hand , watching movies in phones saves the time of travelling and is more convienent . people can watch movie anywhere , anytime through their phones .they do not need to make a plan for watching movie .not noly it saves time but also money . in cinemas we have to pay charges to purchase a ticket and watch movie just once but phone we do not need to spend any extra amount and we also pause the movie and watch it when we want. For example , students and working poersons do not have time to see full movie on cintinous basis . so phones are the best choice for them . so , whenever they get chance they continue and see .

on the other hand , many people prefer cinemas because it provies a spevcial tratment or comfortable experoience. cinemas have large screens, powerful sound syestem which makes films more enjopyable . in addition, visiting a cinemas with friends and familky we spent quantity time with them . for instance , watching an action movie on large screen feels like a part of the story . At home we are distracted by messages pr other activities.

To conclude , watching movies in phone is affordable and convienient but i believe that cinemas ,makes it much more memorable .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both views and give a clear opinion: phones are convenient and affordable, while cinemas offer a more immersive and social experience, and you conclude that cinemas are better. Relevant examples, such as students fitting a film around their schedules and action films feeling more engaging on a large screen, support the discussion. This meets the task well, though the two sides are not developed equally: the phone argument includes several practical benefits, while the cinema argument would benefit from more explanation of why the shared experience matters. Your position is clear, but extending the reasons and examples more fully would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the discussion. Some connections are less smooth or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “so” in the phone paragraph and the sequence of benefits joined with “not only…but also.” A few references are also unclear, as in “watch that” and “they continue and see,” which makes the reader work out what is meant. Use a wider range of linking expressions and make references explicit to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “convenient,” “affordable,” “large screens,” and “powerful sound system.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, for example “souce,” “relieuf,” “convienent,” and “spevcial tratment.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “spend quantity time” and “for getting fun.” Aim to learn accurate topic-related collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise choices such as “spend quality time” and “immersive experience” would help express your ideas naturally and flexibly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “not only…but also” and a contrast between watching at home and in a cinema. However, the range is limited, and errors occur often enough to affect clarity. The opening sentence lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “people can watch movie anywhere, anytime” has article and plural problems. In “visiting a cinemas with friends and familky we spent quantity time,” the sentence structure and verb form are unclear. Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with articles, plural nouns, and consistent verb forms before adding more complex structures.
