Student answer (Band 5.5)
There are split opinions regarding watching the films in the recent era. Some people believe to do so at hoe into personal devices, whereas another group of thinkers support this activity in the movie hall. Both has its own pros and cons. Therefore, both the opinions must be discused before commenting my view.
Examining the former view, seeing movies on phones and tablets not only help to conserve money, but also to save significant amount of time to commute to the theatres. Additionally, this enitre hobby undoubtedly contribute to family time. This is because of the reason that even the elderly people can joyfully behold these videographics with theie loved ones, which may not be convenient for them at the cinema halls. Admittedly, this developement is not without its drawback, which is that a child is more prone to eventually become anti-social doing this.
On the contrary, the latter view suggest that movies can be completely enjoyed only when watched on the big screens. To add, this pastime action bring friends and cousins together and provides better socialization. However, some theatres doesnot allow procurement of food , which is fully negligible when using personal gadgets.
Finally, in my opinion, i firmly support the first view. The main justification lies in the fact that time and money is saved in long term.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for watching films on personal devices, supported by the points about saving time and money. However, the discussion is only partial: the cinema view is mainly described as offering a large screen and socialisation, with little explanation of why these features make films more enjoyable. The claim that children may become “anti-social” is also introduced without an example or explanation. Your conclusion repeats the preference but does not develop the reasoning. The response is 221 words, below the required 250, so there is limited space to explain and support the ideas. Develop each main point with a reason or relevant example, and explain more fully why you favour one view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each viewpoint, and a concluding opinion. Linking expressions such as “Examining the former view,” “On the contrary,” and “Finally” help signal the stages of the discussion, and the overall order is easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some movement towards more flexible organisation. However, some links feel formulaic, and connections within paragraphs are not always clear. For example, the point about children becoming anti-social is added without showing how it follows from the benefits of family viewing. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and develop each paragraph around a connected sequence of claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “conserve money,” “socialization,” and “procurement,” and the topic remains understandable. However, the range is limited by several inaccurate or unnatural choices that make some phrases difficult to interpret, such as “at hoe into personal devices,” “videographics,” and “this pastime action.” Spelling errors, including “discused,” “enitre,” and “developement,” are also noticeable. These issues fit a level where vocabulary is minimally adequate but errors can cause some difficulty for the reader. Prefer common, precise collocations over unusual wording, and check spelling carefully. For instance, “watch films on personal devices” and “spend time together” would express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some complex sentence forms, including “This is because…” and the contrast introduced by “which,” but control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “Both has its own pros and cons” (subject–verb agreement), “movies … not only help” (agreement with the singular subject), and “some theatres doesnot allow” (agreement and verb form). There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, as in “save significant amount of time to commute.” These errors reflect limited control when attempting more complex structures. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and article use, then build longer sentences from simpler, correct patterns. Proofread for capitalisation and punctuation as well.
