Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is believed by some individuals that sophisticated technology like mobile phones has been replaced the cinema because folks can easily enjoy latest movies on such platforms without going to theaters. Whereas, there is a counter argument that digital platform can not demise the value of cinema. In this essay, I will shedlight on both views and also discuss my own viewpoint.
Proponents of first viewpoint hold the belief that with the advancement in lastest technology it has become possible to access latest movies on phones or laptops which is more convenient and comfortable. For instance, various applications such as Netflix, Amazon prime videos ectera are very renowned nowadays and providing excellent service. Audience can easily download new movies as well as access updated features like HD video and high picture quality by subscribing lastest version. Therefore, there is no need to go cinema as they can watch same movies at home. Moreover, digital media also eliminate the travel time and cost of the cinema tickets, which are very expensive nowadays. They can enjoy their favourite movies anywhere with the help of neternet. Therefore, popularity of cinema is decreasing gradually.
On the other hand, advocates of second viewpoint believe that although films are easily available on phones, cinema has their own values. Big screens in cinema hall provides unique view and feelings that can not be enjoyed at home. In cinema, audience feel more enthusiastic towards movies as sometimes, they can get the chance to meet their favourite actors during new launches. Apart from that, cinemas are also associate with economic growth. When people go tto the cinema, they also spend money on transportation and other retail shopping. So, it increase economic growth of any nation.
In conclusion, I personally believe that even though phones are helpful for watching movies but they can not replace the value of cinema as they provide appropriate view of film

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear personal position: you explain the convenience and lower costs of watching films at home, then argue that cinemas offer a distinctive large-screen experience and can support economic activity. These points are relevant, and the examples of streaming services help illustrate the first view. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The cinema argument relies mainly on the screen experience and possible actor appearances, while the economic-growth point is only briefly asserted and does not directly explain why films are more enjoyable in cinemas. Your conclusion repeats your preference but ends without fully rounding off the argument. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the other hand” makes the shift between positions clear, and “Moreover” introduces an additional reason. This organisation meets the task well. To make progression more natural, reduce formulaic transitions and ensure each sentence follows clearly from the previous one. For example, “Therefore, popularity of cinema is decreasing gradually” repeats the preceding claim about convenience rather than adding a distinct step in the reasoning. Some references are also unclear, as in “they can get the chance,” where the reader must infer who “they” refers to. More precise links and references would strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “advancement,” “subscribing,” “economic growth,” and “unique view,” and the meaning is generally understandable. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural. Examples include “shedlight on,” “latest technology,” “digital platform can not demise the value,” and “appropriate view of film.” There are also misspellings such as “lastest,” “neternet,” and “ectera.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than formal-sounding expressions whose meaning does not quite fit. Proofreading spelling and choosing standard collocations would make your ideas clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession clause beginning “although films are easily available on phones” and a reason clause introduced by “as.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “mobile phones has been replaced the cinema” has problems with verb form and sentence construction; “Big screens … provides” has subject–verb disagreement; and “cinema has their own values” has an unclear agreement pattern. Articles and plural forms also need attention, as in “go to cinema” and “same movies.” The final sentence is incomplete in effect because it ends without a full stop or a completed conclusion. Check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise complex structures.
