Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, everybody have their own phone in which they can watch whatever they want. Some people argue that watching movies on mobiles or tabs is better while others beleive that still the cinema is best for watching the films, In this i will discuss the boths views with example

On one hand, numerous people says that watching the daramas and T.V shows on mobile phones and tablets are good because they do not want to go outside for watching because in this era everything is digital and one step is away from us so we don't need spend our money for theatre however we can get the best movie apps in our handy gagets. For example there are so many new apps on google for tv shows so the individuals just downloads those apps and can watch the all types of stories and clips free of cost and they beleive now no need to spend wealth for cinema anymore

On the othr hand, several number of people argue that movie halls are the great for watching and still its worth for money because they beleive we want to enjoy fully we have to see the dramas in cinemas in addition they addmitis that there are so many benefits to consume the contents on the big screen for example looking the movies on cinemas LED is better as compered to mobile because our eyes stays easy focus on huge screen and there is no worry of losting the eye sight however in movies Halls are a proper sound system which is exceptional for veiwing the interesting vedios in film halls in the cinemas their are a proper entertainment

In my opinion, consuming the content like movies and series the best places are movie halls because they can give us proper sitting area with comfortable chairs and a best loud sound systems which enhance the whole experiance theatre

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a clear preference for cinemas in the final paragraph, so the response is relevant to the task. The mobile-view paragraph gives reasons such as convenience, digital access and avoiding cinema costs, while the cinema paragraph mentions the large screen and sound system. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the examples about free apps and eye comfort are asserted rather than explained, and the opening promises examples without establishing a clear position. Your opinion appears only at the end and is brief. To strengthen the response, state your view in the introduction and explain how each reason supports the relevant viewpoint, using a specific, credible example for each side.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. The signposts “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is less controlled. The first body paragraph moves from convenience to apps and free viewing without clearly separating or linking these points, and the cinema paragraph combines screen size, eyesight, sound and entertainment in one long sequence. Some linking is mechanical, and the final paragraph repeats the cinema preference without developing it. Use shorter, clearly focused paragraphs and connect each reason to its explanation or example; clearer referencing would also help readers track the ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “digital,” “big screen,” “sound system,” and “comfortable chairs,” which makes the main topic clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “handy gagets,” “consume the contents,” “proper entertainment,” and “losting the eye sight.” Spelling errors such as “beleive,” “othr,” and “experiance” also reduce accuracy. These problems sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more precise set of phrases for comparing viewing options, and check spelling and natural combinations—for example, say “watch films on a device,” “cinema experience,” and “protect our eyesight” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response uses basic structures to express reasons and contrast. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences, where agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries are often faulty. Examples include “everybody have,” “numerous people says,” and “the individuals just downloads”; these subjects require matching verb forms. The opening also runs several ideas together, while “we don't need spend” is missing a grammatical element. These errors can make some sentences difficult to follow. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and use shorter sentences when presenting several reasons. Then add complex clauses gradually, checking punctuation and agreement.
