Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, technology is increasing day by day which makes our life easier. Some people say watching movies on the smartphones is good way instead of going to cinema rather other says view films in cinema is enjoyable. So in upcomming paragraphs i will discuss the both view and giving my own opinion.
On the first hand, some individual say watch movies on phones and tab is good idea.first reason of this is time and money saving. To be more clear, watching movies on phones is best idea so it save lots of time because with the help of internet we easily watch any movie from anywhere which save time and money of travel and purchase tickets of cinema.
on the other side, many people say see film in the cinema is enjoyable memory.one of the important point is increase bond with family and friends. To explain this, many times people go for watching movies in cinema with there family or friends which is better way to spend time with them which increse bond with each other also with this people easly spend time with their love one and we take lots of pictures which remeber us that moment in the future.
In my point of view, both way of watching movie is good way but I prefer watch movie at phones because it save money and time which we use on other things and with the help of technology we watch every movie at home or anywhere in the world rather then go to cinema.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear preference for watching films on phones, supported by convenience and saving travel and ticket costs. The cinema paragraph also offers a relevant reason—spending time with family and friends—and an example involving photographs. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the advantages of phone viewing are mostly repeated as saving time and money, while the cinema experience is not explored beyond socialising. Your opening says you will discuss both views, but the conclusion does not weigh them or explain why your preference outweighs the cinema’s benefits. Develop each side with a more specific example and make the comparison behind your opinion clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader a generally logical route through the discussion. You also use signposts such as “On the first hand” and “on the other side” to indicate contrast. However, some linking is mechanical, and several sentences join multiple ideas with repeated “which” clauses, making the progression less smooth. For example, the cinema paragraph moves from family bonding to spending time with loved ones and then taking pictures without clearly separating or developing these points. Use clearer sentence boundaries and vary transitions; ensure pronouns such as “this” refer unmistakably to the idea you mean.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “smartphones,” “internet,” “cinema,” “tickets,” and “bond with family and friends.” Some phrases also show an attempt to express more specific ideas, such as “save lots of time” and “spend time with them.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, including “enjoyable memory,” “good way,” and “love one.” Spelling errors such as “upcomming,” “increse,” and “remeber” are noticeable and reduce the overall control of vocabulary. Build a wider set of natural collocations for convenience, viewing experiences, and social activities, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to explain reasons, for example, “because with the help of internet we easily watch any movie from anywhere.” This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, the range remains limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors include missing articles (“is good way”), subject–verb agreement (“it save”), and incorrect verb forms (“I prefer watch”). Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in “easier. Some people” and the lowercase paragraph openings. These errors sometimes make the reader work to follow the meaning. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses and correct punctuation.
