Student answer (Band 5.5)

Invention of internet has changed the world in a global village. Some people are talking about the films that they can see films on their phones or tablets there is no need to go to the cinema while others believe that to be fully enjoyed , movies need to be seen in a picture house. In my opinion, it is far more convenient and budget friendly to see movies on phones or tablets, while it has more fun and family gathering if folks see films in cinema.

On one hand , many people believe that they can see films on their own mobile phones very easily because they have internet access. They can download any movie with just one click while using their tablets and can enjoy it alot. In addition to this , It is convenient and people can afford it while they have low budget. For instance, inflation rate is very high in Pakistan , and the middle class can not afford expensive tickets of cinemas so that they use their mobile phones in order to see any movie online which is a key source of entertainment for them

On the other hand, It is widely believe that people who see movies in the cinema enjoy more despite seeing online because they can bring their family along with them which make the moment far more enjoyable then alone. Moreover, seeing movies in cinema increase the family interaction with the society which is very essential for children's grwoth and creativity. For exmaple , a person who grew up in a family which explore the city while he was a child , would have more knowledge than other children.

In conclusion , I would like to say that seeing movies with family is more beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both options and give a personal view, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains convenience, internet access and affordability, with the Pakistan example; the second presents cinema as a family experience. However, the position is not fully consistent: the introduction favours watching on devices for convenience and cost, while the conclusion says family cinema-going is more beneficial without explaining how you weigh these advantages. Some supporting points are also unclear or insufficiently connected to the question, particularly the claim that cinema increases children’s interaction with society. Make your opinion explicit and consistent, then develop each side with a direct explanation of how it affects the enjoyment of films.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In addition to this” introduces another benefit without specifying how it relates to the previous point, and the sentence beginning “Moreover” moves from cinema to children’s development without a clear link to film enjoyment. The example about exploring the city also does not clearly support the preceding claim. Use linking phrases sparingly and make each sentence’s relationship to the paragraph’s main idea explicit; ensure the conclusion follows logically from the position established in the introduction.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “internet access,” “inflation rate,” “expensive tickets,” “family interaction” and “source of entertainment.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but control of word choice, collocation and spelling is uneven, which limits precision. Phrases such as “more fun and family gathering,” “increase the family interaction with the society” and “explore the city” are not natural or precise in context. There are also spelling errors, including “grwoth” and “exmaple,” and informal wording such as “alot.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate phrasing, and proofread spelling. More precise vocabulary for affordability, shared experiences and children’s development would strengthen the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “while” and “which,” but complex structures are often not controlled accurately. For example, “people who see movies in the cinema enjoy more” lacks a clear object for “enjoy,” and “which make the moment” has a subject–verb agreement error. Other issues include “It is widely believe,” “seeing movies in cinema increase,” and the run-on structure in the opening sentence. Articles, agreement, verb forms and punctuation errors sometimes make the reader pause. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then check each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb. Review comma use and sentence boundaries, especially where two full ideas are joined.
