Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals think at recent time we can watch the movies on our gadgets its not important to go to cinema for this purpose. In the upcoming essay i will discuss both point of views and conclude my own opinion.

To commence with, it is very beneficial for every individual while watching distinct types of movies at there own phone. As it will not only save there time but it will also save there money. To explicate, an individual can watch movies in there spare time as there is no need to make a proper schdule for it and there is no need for spending money to buy ticket. For instance, it is seemed that In India small state punjab did experiment on this and individuals found in 6 months they found cinema were in lose in constract people save money. As it considered as convient and cheap.

In contrast, as others considered it is pleasant part of there life. To begin with it will give a chance to take a take from hectic schedule for their loved ones. As sometimes individuals have not enough time they just planed a movies together get a chance to spend time with each other. It helps them to share there point of view with each other and enjoy great experience together. As a seminar last year acknowledged that people are likely to more happy when they watch movies at cinema; however, at home they just stuck to their own phone no enjoyment with other family member also rest of the people feel more alone.

To conclude, no doubt watching movies at home on their own mobiles save their time and money although it creates a gap between the individuals and loved ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: watching films on personal devices is presented as convenient and inexpensive, while cinema-going is linked to shared time and enjoyment with loved ones. Your conclusion also gives a preference, suggesting that the social gap created by watching alone is important. However, the position is not fully clear: the conclusion acknowledges the benefits of home viewing but does not directly state which option you believe is better overall. Some support is also unclear or insufficiently explained, particularly the claim about an experiment in Punjab and the seminar finding. Explain how these examples support each view, and develop the comparison further—for example, by discussing the cinema’s larger screen and sound as well as the convenience of watching at home.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The contrast between the paragraphs is signalled by phrases such as “To commence with” and “In contrast,” so the reader can follow the broad direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. The Punjab example is introduced abruptly, and the sentence beginning “As a seminar last year acknowledged” combines a claim about happiness with a separate point about family members using phones. Several linking phrases, including “To begin with” and “As,” feel mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “hectic schedule,” “spare time,” “pleasant,” and “experience,” and you attempt to express ideas about convenience, cost, and social connection. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “take a take from hectic schedule,” “cinema were in lose,” and “stuck to their own phone.” Spelling errors such as “schdule,” “constract,” and “convient” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe cinema attendance as “declining” or “making a loss,” and say that people can “take a break from a hectic schedule” or “become absorbed in their phones.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “no doubt … although …” and the reason clause beginning “as there is no need.” However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical control are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Few individuals think at recent time we can watch the movies on our gadgets its not important” joins clauses without appropriate punctuation or a clear grammatical link. There are also repeated problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “it will give a chance,” “people are likely to more happy,” and “they just planed a movies.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
