Student answer (Band 6.0)
Advancement in technology has made cinematic experience more enjoyful than before. As a result, some people argue that people are more likely to stay at home and watch movies on their mobile phone or laptop, while others believe that cinema offers power animation and better sound quality to enjoy film to the fullest. This essay will discuss both the views, and I agree with the former view.
To begin with, supporters of former view argue that watching film at home is more convenient and affordable way. This means people do not need to travel long distance or purchase expensive tickets to watch movie. Online platforms ,like Netfilx, allow user to access wide range of cinema for a monthly subscription. Therefore, people can watch number of movies for a month for much lesser price than a cost of single ticket in cinema.
On the other hand, cinema offers high visual effects, better sound quality and larger screen. Moreover, 3D movies which requires glasses can only be experience in theatre. Because of these advance technology, watching films in cinema becomes unforgettable experience. Moreover, cinema offers an opportunity for friends and families to spend time together outside their homes. For these reasons, I believe that many people will continue visiting cinemas, even they go less frequently than before.
In conclusion, watching wide raneg of movies with monthly subscription at home makes it more affordable and convenient than buying expensive ticket at cinema. However, a true experience on large screen and powerful sound quality with friends and families is must to enjoy the film.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a position in the introduction: you support the convenience of home viewing, while recognising that cinemas offer a more immersive experience. The body paragraphs give relevant reasons, including subscription costs, sound and visual effects, and social outings. However, the discussion is uneven: the case for home viewing is explained with a cost comparison, whereas the cinema argument is mostly listed rather than developed. Your conclusion also says a cinema experience “is must to enjoy the film,” which makes your final position less consistent with your stated agreement with the former view. Develop each side with a specific example and clarify whether cinema is essential or simply preferable for some films.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in connecting ideas. However, the repeated use of “Moreover” and “For these reasons” can feel mechanical, and the final paragraph does not fully resolve the contrast between your stated preference for home viewing and the claim that cinema is necessary for full enjoyment. Use more varied links between specific claims and their explanations, and make the conclusion follow clearly from your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “monthly subscription,” “sound quality,” “visual effects,” and “larger screen,” so the main ideas are clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “to the fullest” and “unforgettable experience.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “more enjoyful,” “power animation,” and “wide raneg of movies.” “Cinema” and “film” are also repeated frequently. These slips do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for describing viewing experiences, affordability, and technology.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which requires glasses” and a reason clause beginning “Because of these advance technology.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “watching film at home is more convenient and affordable way” needs articles, and “3D movies which requires glasses can only be experience” has agreement and verb-form problems. The sentence “even they go less frequently than before” also needs a clearer grammatical construction. Review articles, subject–verb agreement, and passive forms, and proofread sentence endings and spacing. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
