Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, many human beings believe that watch latest movies on their smartphones or tablets while others argue that they still prefer to enjoy movie in the theaters. Watching movies on own tablets gives flexibility and it save monetary expenditure. On the other side in cinema not only gives premium sound quality but also gives thrilling experience. This essay will discuss both sides and I will give my own opinion.
To begin with, people are watching movies on smart devices. It helps to watch it on their Convinience. In simple words, people can watch their favorite movie on their workplace, while Travis or at home, according to their own choice. They can get benefits of skipping and rewind the scene which they like the most. To exemplify that , I prefer to watch movies on my weekends at home during my other work in my iPad with more flexibility and enjoyment. Moreover, It can saves money. When people are going to watch movie, it makes unnecessary expense such as movie tickets, refreshments and fuel. As a result, it ruin monthly budget.
On the other hand, some people prefer to watch movie in multiplexes. It gives thrilling experience with best sound quality and big screen. In this technological world, theater provides best sound effects such as dobly sound system also offers 3D and 5D screens effects. Therefore, It feels like a real life experience. Furthermore, It gives opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. People can rarely enjoy time with their loved one in this busy world. They can explore new places by watching movies in a theater.
To conclude, the theatres helps to fulfill thriller entertainment and satisfy audiences purposes. However, I strongly believe that, people can enjoy latest movies on their electronics devices without any restrictions and with full flexibility. It saves time and money also it easy to watch and download.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for watching films on personal devices, especially in the conclusion. The points about flexibility and avoiding ticket, refreshment, and fuel costs are relevant, as are the cinema’s sound, screen, and social experience. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, “They can explore new places by watching movies in a theater” is unclear, and the claim that cinema provides a “real life experience” would benefit from a specific explanation or example. Your own opinion is clear, but it could be developed more consistently in the body paragraphs and linked more directly to the comparison of the two options.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. The progression from convenience and cost to cinema’s technical and social advantages is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help orient the reader. This is a strong foundation, with some features of more flexible cohesion. However, several links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for instance, “It gives thrilling experience” does not clearly identify whether “it” means the cinema or the film. The sentence about exploring new places also interrupts the paragraph’s progression. Use more precise referencing and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “flexibility,” “monetary expenditure,” “sound quality,” and “quality time,” which allows you to discuss both convenience and the cinema experience. There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “3D” and “sound effects.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, as in “on their Convinience,” “thrilling entertainment,” and “audiences purposes.” Spelling and form errors, including “dobly” and “theaters” where the intended meaning is cinema venues, also reduce precision. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they limit the naturalness of the expression. Aim for accurate, conventional phrases and check spelling and capitalization.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and clauses introduced by “while” and “when.” Most of the main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “it save monetary expenditure” needs subject–verb agreement, while “people believe that watch latest movies” is missing a grammatical subject or infinitive construction. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “enjoy movie” and “the theatres helps.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention too, particularly the comma after “I strongly believe that.” These errors show that a range is being attempted, but more reliable control of verb forms, articles, and agreement is needed.
