Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this era of technological advancement, people rely more on electronic gadgets for their almost every kind of activity such as work, entertainment or household tasks. Now some people prefer comfort and instead of going out for movie they use phones or tablets. while others believe that watching a movie in a cinema provides greater enjoyment. In the essay, I will essay discuss the both views and share my opinion on this.
To commence with, it offers great comfort and convenience. people can watch movie from any corner of their house without going outside. Also with the ease of gadgets such as phones, laptops or tablets an individual can switch to an another film particulary if they found the movie to be a quiet boring. For example, a family watching movie and kid demand to watch cartoon then you have the rights to change to the requested network from your house. In addition to this, gadgets provides greater convenience as you can pause, play or resume back movie whenever you got a leisure time. Thus, the above-mentioned are the reasons why people chose to watch movies over phones rather than going for a cinema houses.
On the flip side, people who love going outside to watch films can experience various cinematic themes and become more socialise. person who often go to cinema halls different viewing experiences, such as 3D movies, advanced sound systems and large screens, which make films more exciting and realistic. To elaborate on this, a person who watch thriller, comedy and actions movies in a cinema can experience different visuals which in future helps them to make career in this or make their mind more creative. Moreover, visiting a cinema with friends or family provides an opportunity to socialise and create memorable experiences together.
In conclusion, although watching movies in cinema halls provides memorable experiences and allows people to enjoy a wide variety of visual effects, watching films at home offers greater comfort and convenience. Therefore, I believe that both options have their own advantages, depending on people's personal preferences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear overall preference for the convenience of watching at home, while acknowledging the cinema’s advantages. The home-viewing paragraph develops comfort, choice and the ability to pause a film, and the cinema paragraph gives relevant examples such as 3D effects, sound systems and shared outings. However, some support is less clear or fully relevant: the example about a child requesting a cartoon is awkwardly explained, and the claim that cinema viewing could help someone build a career or become more creative is asserted rather than demonstrated. Your conclusion says both options depend on preference, so make your own position more decisive and explain why one option suits you better overall. This would make the response more fully developed across both sides of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “On the flip side,” and “In conclusion” help identify each stage. This already gives the essay a coherent arrangement. However, some linking is mechanical, and a few connections between ideas are not smooth. For example, the family-and-cartoon example does not clearly follow from the point about switching films, while “Thus, the above-mentioned are the reasons” repeats the preceding ideas rather than advancing them. The opening also promises to discuss both views but contains a confusing repeated phrase. Use more natural transitions and clearer references between claims and examples to make the progression more flexible.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “technological advancement,” “convenience,” “cinematic themes,” “advanced sound systems,” and “memorable experiences.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation and word-form problems limit precision: “for their almost every kind of activity,” “a quiet boring” and “cinema houses” are unnatural, while “become more socialise” uses the wrong form. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “watch movie” and “convenience.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling, such as “particularly.” More precise vocabulary for comparing home viewing with the cinema would help you express the ideas with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although” and “which,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. Some sentences are controlled, such as the final sentence beginning “Therefore, I believe…”. However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries remain, as in “gadgets provides,” “a person who watch,” and “person who often go to cinema halls.” The opening also has a faulty construction in “I will essay discuss the both views,” and several sentences begin with lowercase letters after full stops. These errors do not generally prevent understanding, but they reduce accuracy. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and proofread sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
