Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are two different opinions existing in this world regarding watching films. Some persons say that seeing the movies on mobile, tablets is better rather than going to theatre. others believe that if you want to fully enjoy the movies then it is suggested to go the cinema. However, individuals' satisfaction is more crucial. Therefore, I would say that watching films in cinema and enjoy maximum has liittle weigh.

In one point of view, few individuals are satisfied with watching the movies on computers and digital platforms. There are certain reasons for them to opt to see the filmography on phones and tablets. One of the causes would be increasing the price of the ticket. Public experiences the problem of spending a huge amount of money to watch a film. The cost of the ticket differes from one theatre to another. For instance, the price of the ticket was Rs. 50/- once, but now it increased to Rs. 250/. Another reason could be poor maintaince of the movie complexes, where don't manage the hygnic atmosphere.

In another point of view, there are certain people who desire to enjoy the film and get satisfaction. The probable reason is that after having a strssful work in the office, some persons wanted to relax for soemtime by watching a movie depended on their gonre preference. Those who are particular about enjoying fully by seeing th entertainments get relief from their mental stree. For example, recently one survey provided an essential infoemation that most of the people getting health related issues because of their work stree.

according to my opinion, happiness and satisfaction is more important to everyone, therefore, enjoy the life maximum. I would agree with those people who enjoy watching films in cinema.

In conclusion, both views are exceptionally good. However, persons who opt to enjoy their life by watching movies have pros that those who watch films on their mobile and tablets.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You introduce both views and state a preference for cinema, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion only partially fulfils the task because the reasons are not consistently explained or supported. The first view is linked to ticket prices and poorly maintained cinemas, but the response does not clearly explain how watching on a phone or tablet addresses these problems. The cinema view mentions relaxation and relief from work stress, yet it does not explain what makes the cinema experience more enjoyable than viewing at home. The survey example is vague and does not directly support the comparison. Your position also shifts: you say cinema enjoyment has “little weigh,” then later agree with cinema-goers. Make your opinion consistent and develop each view with a clear, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting different views, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “In one point of view” and “In another point of view” help signal the change in perspective. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the discussion of work stress and health issues does not clearly connect to why films are better enjoyed in a cinema. The conclusion repeats the two sides but does not resolve the earlier inconsistency in your opinion. Some linking expressions also feel mechanical. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph follow a clear sequence—claim, explanation, and relevant example—and use pronouns and transitions to show how each point relates to the task.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital platforms,” “ticket,” “satisfaction,” and “mental stress,” and you use some less common expressions. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “enjoy,” and “watching,” while several inaccurate choices make meaning less clear. For instance, “filmography” does not mean films as a form of entertainment, and “enjoy their life by watching movies have pros” is difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “maintaince,” “hygnic,” and “infoemation” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. Replacing vague phrases with terms such as “cinema-going experience” or “streaming services” would help express the comparison more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “where” and “because,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “The cost of the ticket differes” needs a singular verb, while “after having a strssful work … some persons wanted” has an awkward grammatical pattern and an inconsistent tense. The sentence beginning “Another reason could be poor maintaince … where don't manage” lacks a clear subject for “manage.” Capitalisation is also inconsistent, as “others” and “according” begin sentences in lowercase. Practise building accurate complex sentences around one clear main clause, then check agreement, tense, and punctuation.
