Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main purpose of the letter and give a reason the job may suit your friend: you mention a clothing-store position and connect it to their fashion knowledge and communication skills. However, the job description is very limited; the reader is not told what duties the role involves. The application instructions are also incomplete: you say you will send a link and mention filling in documents, but do not explain where or how to submit them, or whether a CV or interview is needed. The suitability points are relevant but need clearer explanation. Develop each part with practical details so the letter fully covers the request.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable sequence: an opening, reasons for recommending the job, application information, and a friendly closing. Connectors such as “In addition” and “because” help show relationships between ideas, and the overall message is understandable. However, the central information is compressed into one long paragraph, so the job details, suitability, and application steps are not clearly separated. Some links are also mechanical, and the reference in “I will send you the link” is vague because the company or vacancy has not been introduced specifically. Use short paragraphs for the three requested points and clearer transitions to make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “elated,” “prominent,” “plethora,” and “necessity,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, several choices are unnatural or inaccurate in context, such as “encompass some skills,” “necessity for labours,” and “successfully hire in the work.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “lon,” “succesfully,” and “givin,” also reduce precision. Some expressions sound overly formal for a friendly letter, while the actual job duties are not described with specific work-related vocabulary. Aim for natural collocations and precise terms, for example, “help customers choose clothes” or “submit an application.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including “because I know you well” and the clause beginning “which helps…”. The main message remains understandable, but errors occur across sentence patterns and sometimes make the meaning less clear. For example, “I am elated that we get in touch” has an incorrect verb form, and “one of the prominent reason you ought to be engage” has problems with number and verb construction. “You have plethora of knowledge” also needs an article. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms, and check each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
