Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all three bullet points: describing the job, explaining why it is suitable, and detailing the application process. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which limits the development of ideas. For instance, the explanation of why the job is suitable is very brief ('I hope this is suitable for you'), lacking the necessary depth or personal connection expected in a letter to a friend. To improve, you should expand on your reasoning and provide more descriptive details about the company or the nature of the work to fully satisfy the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a basic logical progression, moving from the purpose of the letter to the job details and finally the application process. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as a single block of text. The use of cohesive devices is quite limited and mechanical (e.g., 'Actually', 'as well as'). To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your ideas are grouped into distinct paragraphs to improve the overall flow and readability of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is functional but basic, which is sufficient for a simple letter but lacks the range required for higher bands. Phrases like 'looking for job' (missing article) and 'fill all details' are repetitive and slightly unnatural. There is little attempt to use less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions that would be appropriate for a letter to a friend. To improve, try to incorporate more descriptive adjectives and varied verbs to make your writing more engaging and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that impact the quality of the writing. There are missing articles ('looking for a job', 'the company's official site') and awkward phrasing ('After one week company will respond you' should be 'the company will respond to you'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited use of complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors and the lack of structural variety prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will significantly improve your accuracy.
