Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the job, explaining why it is suitable, and providing application instructions. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the duties of an educator, the description is a bit fragmented. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanations are more fully developed and cohesive. You successfully maintained a consistent purpose throughout the letter, and the information provided is relevant to the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is generally coherent, and the progression of ideas is logical. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally' and 'Although' to link your thoughts. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as a single block of text. For a formal or semi-formal letter, it is better to separate the introduction, the main body points, and the closing into distinct paragraphs. This would significantly improve the readability and the overall structure of your response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'early childhood education' and 'relevant job experience'. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'interviews are still conducting' (should be 'being conducted') and 'make them feel more safe' (should be 'safer'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and transition phrases would help elevate your score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as the incorrect use of articles ('a early childhood educator' should be 'an early childhood educator') and capitalization errors ('My workplace', 'The positive point'). Additionally, the phrase 'interviews are still conducting' is grammatically incorrect as it uses the active voice where the passive is required. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
