Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to address the core requirements of the prompt. The instructions specifically asked you to tell your friend about a job in a local company that you have heard about. Instead, you provided general advice on how to search for jobs on Google and mentioned 'accredited employer lists.' You did not describe a specific job, explain what the work involves, or explain why it would be suitable for your friend. Consequently, the response does not fulfill the task requirements, as it ignores the scenario provided in the prompt entirely.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter lacks a logical structure. The paragraphs are disjointed, and there is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas together. The transition between the opening and the body is abrupt, and the closing is very informal and disconnected from the rest of the text. The use of punctuation is inconsistent, which further disrupts the flow of information. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing and transition words like 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'in addition' to guide the reader through your points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'tell me' and 'need job.' There is little attempt to use more sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary related to employment or professional correspondence. Some word choices are unnatural, such as 'which type you job required' and 'on easy way yourself.' To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise professional terminology and improve your control over word formation and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and incorrect sentence structure. For example, 'hope you are doing well' lacks a subject, and 'which country do you preferred' contains an incorrect verb tense. The sentence structures are mostly simple and often fragmented. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and work on consistent verb tense usage.
