Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the job, explaining why it is suitable, and detailing the application process. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, there is a slight confusion in the content; you mention the job is for an 'interior designer' but then describe the company as one that designs 'outfits' and 'trendy clothes'. This inconsistency makes the nature of the job unclear. To reach a higher band, ensure that the details provided are consistent and logically connected to the specific role mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the task. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'also', 'because', and 'for application' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and the use of referencing could be improved. For example, the phrase 'These all facilities' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'eligibility criteria', 'lucrative', and 'successful career'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'finding job' (should be 'looking for a job') and 'vaccancy' (spelling error). Additionally, the confusion between 'interior designer' and 'designing outfits' suggests a need for more precise vocabulary related to the specific industry you are discussing. Focusing on correct collocations and checking spelling will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'Hope this letter find you' (should be 'finds'), 'I though that' (should be 'thought'), and 'there is one form is available' (should be 'there is a form available'). These errors are frequent but do not impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, and sentence construction. Increasing the number of error-free sentences will significantly boost your score.
