Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 8.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly described the job role, provided logical reasons why your friend would be a good fit, and gave specific instructions on how to apply. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, maintaining a friendly and helpful persona throughout. The ideas are well-developed and relevant to the task requirements. To reach a higher band, ensure that all sentences are complete; for example, the sentence 'Since you also speak English fluently' is a fragment and should be connected to the previous thought to fully develop the point.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The letter is well-organized with a clear logical progression. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the task, which makes the information easy to follow. You have used some cohesive devices such as 'because', 'so', and 'if', which help link your ideas. However, the transition between some sentences could be smoother. For instance, the final sentence of the second paragraph is a fragment, which disrupts the flow. Using a wider variety of linking words or phrases to connect your ideas more fluidly would help improve the overall cohesion of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.5

You have used a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly and naturally. Phrases like 'suit you perfectly', 'customer service representative', and 'making a final decision' are appropriate and accurate. There is a good attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to job applications. While the vocabulary is functional and fits the context well, it remains somewhat standard. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise or sophisticated collocations, such as 'gain valuable experience' or 'submit your credentials', to demonstrate a broader lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.0

You demonstrate a good control of simple and complex sentence structures. Most of your sentences are accurate and easy to understand. However, there are a few grammatical slips that prevent a higher score. Specifically, there is a sentence fragment ('Since you also speak English fluently.') and a punctuation error ('To apply for this jo. You have to...'). These errors are minor and do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more careful proofreading. Focusing on sentence completeness and correct punctuation will help you move into the higher band range.
