Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the job, explaining why it is suitable, and detailing the application process. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. The tone is generally appropriate for a friend, though it lacks some of the warmth expected in a personal letter. To improve, you should expand on the job responsibilities and provide more specific details about the application process to ensure the response is sufficiently developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For instance, the transition 'Moreover' is used, but other links between sentences are often missing or repetitive. The opening and closing are standard, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect ideas more naturally within and between paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. Phrases like 'many works' and 'grab the knowledge' are not natural collocations. There is a lack of variety, and some word choices are imprecise, such as 'aware you' instead of 'inform you'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more natural collocations and a wider range of vocabulary related to employment and professional skills, such as 'vacancy', 'suitability', or 'application procedure'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'I hope you feeling well' (I hope you are feeling well) and 'I just write a letter' (I am writing a letter). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Subject-verb agreement and tense usage are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors hinders the fluency of the writing. Focusing on correct verb tenses and sentence construction will significantly improve your score.
