Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly describe the job as a 'digital marketing executive', explain why it is suitable based on your friend's previous experience as a 'marketing sales manager', and provide clear instructions on how to apply. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, maintaining a friendly and helpful persona throughout. The ideas are well-developed and the purpose of the letter is clear from the beginning. No parts of the task are omitted, and the response is fully relevant to the instructions provided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the task, which helps the reader follow your ideas easily. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'The minute I saw', which help connect your thoughts. However, the transition between the job description and the application process could be slightly smoother. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is logical and easy to follow throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a good range of vocabulary, such as 'aesthetically pleasing', 'salary package', and 'job profile'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'radiant health' (which sounds slightly unnatural in this context) and 'quiet impressive' (where 'quite' was intended). Despite these minor slips, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly and effectively. You attempt to use more sophisticated language, which is a positive sign, though some collocations could be more natural to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures effectively. There are a few grammatical errors, such as 'The job qualifications requires' (subject-verb agreement) and 'I'm praying for you get' (which should be 'praying that you get'). Additionally, there is a minor punctuation error with the comma placement before the question mark in 'Guess what ?'. However, these errors do not impede communication, and the majority of your sentences are clear and well-constructed. You show a good command of basic and some complex grammar.
