Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly identify the job as a pharmacy assistant, explain why it is suitable based on your friend's diploma, and provide instructions on how to apply. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. To reach a higher band, ensure that the development of ideas is more precise; for example, while you mention the tuition reimbursement and pay, expanding slightly on how these specifically benefit your friend's long-term goals would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, body, and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'or if you want' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'It has been while we are not seen us together'. Improving the transition between sentences would help the text read more naturally. The use of referencing is generally clear, though some mechanical errors in sentence structure slightly affect the overall cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'tuition reimbursement', 'pharmacy assistant', and 'job opening'. However, there are several spelling errors ('remburishment', 'setlle') and some awkward word choices, such as 'do savings' instead of 'save money'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more attention to word formation and common collocations to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and prepositions, such as 'It has been while we are not seen us together' and 'I will share you a link'. Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'this company also have'. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and tense consistency will significantly improve your accuracy.
